In January 2006, the world’s fastest female skiers participated in three races in the well-being village in the Carinthian Nockberge mountains. Last winter, 2007/08, it was the men’s turn to compete in two alpine World Cup races here.

With the start at 1,904 metres altitude, the elite “Kärnten – Franz Klammer” race course is the heart of the event. On a piste length of 3,200 metres and with a difference in altitude of 842 metres, plenty of difficult passages guarantee exciting contests also in the giant slalom and the slalom.

One thing is clear: Bad Kleinkirchheim has presented itself in both events as a worthy Ski World Cup venue. We are already looking forward to more ski festivals in Carinthia’s Nockberge mountains in the future!
